- 4 tomatoes
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 green pepper
- 1.5 tablespoons of butter
- ½ cup of cheddar
- Salt
- Black pepper
How to Make Jackal Menemen?
- Tomatoes are washed, peeled and cut into fine cubes.
- The pepper is cut in half lengthwise and the seeds are removed and finely chopped.
- Butter is taken into a copper pan and after it is heated, peppers are added.
- When the peppers are soft, add the tomatoes and when they come to the boiling point, mash them well with a puree masher or fork.
- When the crushed tomatoes get juiced, egg yolk, salt, black pepper and half of the cheddar are added and mixed quickly.
- If egg whites are not to be used, one can be added.
- When it is ready, it is served by adding half of the remaining cheddar on it.
