Ingredients for Cake Under the Stars

- 1.5 cups flour (sifted)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 medium egg (at room temperature)
- 3 tablespoons of yogurt
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Pistachios (Chopped)
- 8 g (a little less than 1 pack) baking soda
- 3-4 drops of lemon juice
for cream
- 2.5 glasses of milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 2 soup spoons of cocoa
- 1 tablespoon Pistachios (crushed)
for service
- Pomegranate
- Star cookies (recipe in “Cookie Box”)
- Powdered sugar
How to Make Cake Under the Stars
- Whisk eggs and sugar well in a large bowl. Add the yogurt, olive oil and pistachios and continue whisking. Add the flour and baking powder.
- Squeeze 3-4 drops of lemon onto the baking soda and mix all the ingredients.
- Pour it into a cake mold (22-24 cm) lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. When it comes to room temperature, remove it from the mold and transfer it to the serving plate.
- For the cream, put the milk, sugar, starch and cocoa in a saucepan and cook, stirring constantly, until it turns into a gazelle’s eye. Take it from the stove and put the pistachio pieces in it and continue mixing so that it does not form a crust.
- When it comes to room temperature, pour the cream over the cake. Create a beautiful image by spreading it with the back of your spoon.
- Make a frame from pomegranates and sprinkle star cookies on it. If you wish, you can decorate them with powdered sugar.
