- Half a kilo of fresh kidney beans
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 1 potato
- 1 green pepper
- 1 tomato
- 1 spoon of tomato paste
- Salt
- half a bunch of dill
- Half a teaspoon of olive oil
Red Kidney Bean Stew Recipe with Olive Oil
We start by chopping the onion (in a pressure cooker) and frying it in olive oil. Add pepper, diced carrots and potatoes, respectively, and fry them. After adding the tomato paste and turning it a little more, we add the tomatoes and kidney beans. Add salt and 1 glass of boiling water and close the pressure cooker. (If you are not going to use a pressure cooker, more water is required, you can add it in a controlled manner)
After our food has cooled down a bit, we add finely chopped dill. We serve lukewarm. Enjoy your meal ;))
If you are going to use the kidney beans from the freezer, like me, take it to the strainer while it is frozen, hold it under water for 10 seconds and put it in the pot immediately. Do not defrost.
